Rashid Javed holds a Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) degree from Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, a Masters of Commerce (M.Com) degree from Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree from Punjab University (PU).

Work and experience

Rashid is currently working as general manager (GM) at Punjab Stones, a subsidiary of LASANI Group of Suppliers (Punjab, Pakistan). His prime responsibilities in the organization include ensuring smooth operations, controlling costs and improving revenues.

Rashid is the founder and owner of accountingformanagement.org. He is the writer of most of the articles, exercises, problems and quizzes available on this website. His work is famous for changing the students’ ambiguous world of accounting into elements of clarity and simplicity. Explaining accounting concepts through practical problems is the heart of his work for learners.

Hobbies

Rashid loves collectibles. He often buys collectible items and exchanges them with other people having similar interest. Other areas of his interest-based activities include planting and gardening. Many times he has been seen growing flowers, fruits and seasonal vegetables in his father’s fields.
